Global cellular service provider Airtel has finally launched 3G services in India’s commercial capital, namely Mumbai. It had already launched 3G services in the other cities in the circles where it had obtained the license such as Chennai, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, etc. It plans to fully cover all licensed areas by March 2011.
Since 3G services provide ultra fast internet speed, from now on millions of Mumbaikars can access this service for a variety of uses such as Mobile TV, faster downloads, social networking, video calls or accessing Airtel App Central. Airtel 3G mobile TV can be used for watching LIVE and on-demand TV channels at the rate of Rs. 40 for 20 minutes per week.
