Airtel Unveils New 129, Rs 249 Prepaid Plans in Outrage to Perennial Data War

Airtel summer offer

Recently Airtel updated some of their highest selling Postpaid Plans which now offer more benefits than ever. Prepaid customers are also not left behind but are given new plans to cherish with. Though it will be very inappropriate to compare these plans with JIo’s prepaid plans of Rs 149 and Rs 299.

Airtel summer offer

What does Airtel have to Offer?

  • Rs 129 Plan

1 Unlimited calling with 100 SMS per day.

2 The validity of 28 days with 2 GB of data per day.

3 Free subscription to Airtel TV Wynk Music.

  • Rs 249 Plan

1 Unlimited local and national calling with 100 SMS per day.

2 The validity of 28 days with 2 GB of data per day.

3 Free subscription to Airtel TV Wynk Music.

4 Complimentary Life insurance of worth Rs 4 lakhs. In order to avail the insurance users must fall within the age bracket of 18 to 54.

What does Jio have to offer?

  • Rs 149 Plan

1 Unlimited local and national calling with 100 SMS per day.

2 The validity of 28 days with 1.5 GB of data per day.

3 Complimentary access to MyJio Apps.

  • Rs 299 Plan

1 Unlimited local and national calling with 100 SMS per day.

2 The validity of 28 days with 3 GB of data per day.

3 Complimentary access to MyJio Apps.

Now it’s pretty clear that all the plans from both the telecom operators are different and provides the user with numerous benefits. Airtel’s Rs 129 plan against Jio’s 149 plan comes with almost the same benefits but the data provided is slightly higher in Airtel’s case which predominately rules Airtel to be the clear winner.

Whereas the Airtel’s Rs 249 plan against Jio’s 299 plan also features similar benefits but data be provided is low in Airtel’s case. Airtel with the Rs 249 plan provides the user with complimentary life insurance of Rs 4 Lakh whereas there is no such offer with Jio’s plan of Rs 299. Again by virtue of the benefits Airtel again is the clear winner.

Though it’s pretty unsure if life insurance offer would be anything important for users as many people only see the quantity of data being provided with the minimum amount of recharge since calling these days are totally free.

Every operator is bidding high on retaining the existing customer which is a hideous task these days. The perennial data war has just begun and there’s more to come.
