Want an Android Phone with a 14MP Camera? Check out the Altek A14 Leo

It seems that the Android OS is catching each and everyone’s attention in the global market. Recently Taiwan based digital camera maker Altek has announced that it will soon launch an Android phone featuring a 14MP camera.

The name of this device is Altek A14 Leo and it will be powered by Android 2.1 Eclair. The most impressive feature of this phone is the 14MP autofocus camera with Xenon flash and 3x optical zoom, making it the first Android device to feature such a powerful camera with optical zoom feature.

Other features include a 3.2inch multi-touch display, 800MHz processor, 3.5G, Wi-Fi and support for a MicroSD card.

The A14 Leo will be available from this month in Taiwan and China but India will be getting it by the second or third quarter of this year.

This phone seems like a perfect device for the camera plus android fans. Only negative factor against it is that it will come initially with only Android 2.1 instead of Android 2.2 Froyo or the latest Gingerbread versions of Android OS, which powers most handsets these days.
