With Android 9 Pie, users can natively enable or disable navigation keys on phones running MIUI 9 or 10. By enabling navigation users will have soft keys to operate the UI. Soft navigation keys take up a small margin on the display. Disabling the same shall give you more room on the display and also enables gesture navigation.

When you disable navigations keys on MIUI you will be greeted with MIUI’s amazing gesture controlled navigation.

With stock ROM on the Google Pixel and OnePlus devices running Android 9 Pie inculcates the same as a native function baked in. The gesture navigation lacks certain features on the stock ROM which are very well designed and incorporated in MIUI. Users can move back using a single swipe, switch between apps, switch to the recent menu, trigger apps actions and swipe to go to the home screen.

These gestures need to be practiced until you master them. Unless you use it for while you will miss the traditional navigation keys. Initially, you will have issues using the gestures but slowly you would be able to manage and operate the system easily.

Gesture navigation controls are as follows
