The year 2019 has witnessed a lot of smartphones with bezel-less display and pop up cameras. A recent entrant would be the Y9 Prime from Huawei. With an exclusive Amazon page, it’s quite clear that the phone shall debut in India on the 1st of August 2019. The phone features bezel-less ultra full view display, faster front pop up camera, powerful and a mighty battery, fast and efficient CPU and type C USB port.
Huawei Y9 Pricing and Availablity
The Huawei Y9’s official pricing is yet to be announced on Amazon. Some sources predict the phone to retail below Rs. 20,000. The smartphone will be available in two color variants, Sapphire Blue and Emerald Green. Y9 Prime (2019) is already available in Europe as the Huawei P Smart Z.

The phone comes with a Full HD+ display measuring 6.7 inches. The display is said to be a full view vivid display with a screen-to-body ratio of 91 percent. Inside the phone is where you get the Kirin 710 chipset and is supported by GPU Turbo 3.0 for enhanced in-game performance. For memory, the phone comes with 4GB of RAM and 128 GB of native storage. The phone does provide additional storage capabilities up to 512 GB via micro SD cards. The phone is powered by Android 9 Pie with EMUI 9 on top out of the box.
On the optics side, the phone comes with a triple camera setup of a 16-megapixel lens with an aperture rating of f/1.8, coupled with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The rear camera has AI capabilities to recognize 500+ scenes and 22 categories in real-time enhancing the accuracy of every image. On the front, there is a pop up 16-megapixel sensor along with AI beautification features baked in. Both the cameras on the device features 3D portrait retouch capabilities. This feature can retouch your portrait shots with studio-quality lighting effects.
The phones come with a USB type C port to charge the massive 4,000 mAh battery. As of now, there is no word on the battery to feature any sort of fast charging. The phone also sports smart power-saving processor which increases the power efficiency of the device.
