Verdict:
Both these phones are entry-level Android phones, so except for the fact that you can download thousands of free or paid applications, their capability cannot be compared with the likes of smart phones. However, when you consider these two phones, the general opinion for anyone will be to go in for the Samsung galaxy 5 due to the brand factor and lengthy battery life. But the Micromax Andro A60 comes as a very tough competitor through factors such as a higher resolution camera and by being cheaper by almost two thousand rupees.
If you are comfortable using a phone marketed by Micromax and get used-to with a resistive touch screen phone, then you can definitely go for Micromax Andro A60. Personally we feel there is no harm in trying out brands like Micromax but for those of you who don’t like taking risk with a new entrant, you can go in for the Galaxy 5.
When I bought this phone from mnvcollections.com I did find the shape a little unusual. But I like the 3.2 MP camera. and what is best is that this is the cheapest Android phone in the Indian market. I strongly recommend it. Others can keep ranting that it does not have this feature or that. But then they should also be ready to pay through their nose for those features. I however am happy with my Micromax Andro A60

non of these are best android phones but galaxy 5 is better because android can be extended to 2.2 which is impossible in andro a60 but price of andro is not bad and the phone also has cool features overall if price is less than rs 7000 then androa60 and above rs8000 then galaxy 5 is the best
but i would CONSIDER GALAXY 5 MORE EVEN IF IT HAS MORE PRICE SINCE I HAVE IT
