As per a tweet on Sunday Lenovo-owned Motorola is going to officially launch their new Moto Z2 Play on June 8th, 2017. The event will be live streamed on Motorola’s official youtube channel. They have also shared Youtube link where the launch would be live streamed. The live stream is expected to go on air exactly at 12.00 PM IST. They are also expected to take pre-orders on the same date as well.
The launch would also have a few offers which include Hello finance offer of 0% interest where you can pay Rs. 2000 initially and rest of the amount in 10 months. Hello, armor pack that will ensure utmost protection for your new moto z2 play comes packed with protective accessories to keep you worry free. They will also offer moto mods like the Hasselblad True Zoom MOD, JBL SoundBoost MOD & Insta-Share Projector MOD etc. The exact offer on the moto mods is not yet disclosed.
The new iteration from the company is lighter, slimmer and more efficient than its predecessor. Speaking about the specifications the Moto Z2 Play will be 145 g in overall weight along with a slim profile of 6mm. It comes with 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels which will produce 401 ppi as pixel density. Will be shipped with Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) out of the box. The processor would be the Qualcomm MSM8953-Pro Snapdragon 626 on an Octa-core 2.2 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU along with Adreno 506 GPU.
It will feature 32 GB/3 GB RAM or 64 GB/4 GB RAM memory options with a dedicated memory slot which can expand the internal memory up to 256 GB.
Camera department would have a 12 MP, f/1.7 aperture, 1.4-micron pixel size rear camera with dual tone LED flash. The rear camera is capable of shooting videos at 2160p@30fps, 1080p@60fps & 720p@120fps. The Secondary or the front-facing shooter will be 5 MP, f/2.0, 1.4 µm pixel size with dual-LED flash capable of recording 1080p videos.
Connectivity features include WLAN, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, USB 3.0 Type C magnetic connector. It also comes with a front mounted fingerprint sensor, accelerometer sensor, gyro sensor, proximity & compass. The Z2 play will be powered by a nonremovable 3000 mAh battery and will be shipped in Lunar Gray, Fine Gold, Nimbus Blue colors to choose from.
As per its price in the USA where it was launched last week, it’s expected to retail at a price range of Rs. 30000 to Rs. 32000.
