Motorola One Vision with Hole Punch Display to Launch on 15 May

Motorola has recently rolled out invites for the event scheduled on 15th May in Sau Paulo Brazil. Moto One Vision is the companies first attempt at revealing a phone with punch hole display and 48 MP camera setup. The punch hole display is exactly the same as seen on the Samsung Galaxy S10 which offers higher edge-to-edge ratio. However, it’s also prominent with the leaks that the phone will have a thick chin at the base.

The phone will be a part of Google’s Android One program which ensures that the phone will receive regular security and software updates. You will have Android 9 Pie on board with guaranteed updates to the next two iterations of Android. The One Vision is rumored to hit the Chinese market under the P40 moniker.

Leaks and Rumors

The Motorola One Vision, carrying the model number XT1970, recently received the Bluetooth SIG certification, indicating that the launch was on the horizon. Now, tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore has tweeted what appears to be the poster of a Motorola launch event on May 15, adding that the Motorola One Vision, codenamed “Robusta2”, will be unveiled in Sao Paulo, Brazil later this month.

Moto One Vision features dual-rear camera set up along with a circular Motorola logo which also doubles up as fingerprint sensor. At the base, you will be greeted with Android One branding.

Display

One Vision from Motorola features 6.2 inch IPS display having 1080 x 2520 pixel resolution with 411 PPI as pixel density. The display also features an unspecified version of Corning Gorilla Glass.

Hardware and Memory

It sports Exynos 9610 10 nm chipset on an octa-core CPU with Mali G72 MP3 GPU. Inside the phone, you get additional memory up to 256 GB via micro SD card. By default, you get 32 GB/ 64 GB and 128 GB internal memory coupled with 3 or 4GB RAM.

Camera

The main camera on the back is a dual setup having 48 MP and 5 MP (Depth Sensor) shooters having f/1.8 and f/2.2 aperture. The rear camera can shoot videos at 2160p @ 30 FPS On the front you get a single hole punched sensor of 12 MP having f/1.8 aperture. The front camera can shoot 1080p videos at 30 FPS.

Connectivity Options & Others

Here you get WLAN, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, Radio, and USB 2.0 type c port. The fingerprint sensor is rear mounted along with accelerometer, gyro, proximity and compass sensors.

Battery & Colors

The device is powered by 3500 mAh battery. And would be shipped win White, Black and brown colors to choose from.
