Still today Jio offers amazing recharge plans both for prepaid and postpaid customers along with good network coverage.
If you are looking to use mobile number portability to port from your existing operated to Jio, then just follow the steps below.
Before you plan to port please make sure you are done with the following
1 – Clear all your dues with the existing operator in case of a postpaid subscription.
2 – After you request for porting your number will take 7 working days to get ported which will be intimated.
3 – During this period your service will not be interrupted in the intervening period.
4 – Customers in Jammu & Kashmir, Assam & North East have an alternative option of submitting paper CAF along with with a self-attested copy of Proof of Address(POA), Proof of Identity(POI) documents and a recent color passport-sized photograph to get a Jio SIM.
Steps to Port your Number to Jio
Step1 – SMS PORT <10-digit mobile number> to 1900 from your existing mobile number which needs to be ported to Jio.
Step 2 – You will get a UPC code along with its expiry date. Keep it safe.
Step 3 – Walk into a nearest Jio stores or Reliance Digital / Dx Mini or Jio retailer with the UPC generated in Step 2.
Step 4 – Carry your original Proof of Address(POA) / Proof of Identity(POI) documents or Aadhaar card to activate your Jio connection through Digital KYC process.
Step 5 – Once you are done with all the above steps, your number shall be ported to Jio and you will be provided with a new SIM which gets activated within 7 working days from the date of porting.
Porting your number to Jio will not cost you anything apart from opting for a recharge tariff of your choice. This can be done either at the store or through the My Jio app. Also, Jio recharges are entitled to cash back and vouchers which can be used for subsequent recharges in the future.
