Redmi’s new flagship with Snapdragon 855 and triple rear camera will be launching soon. It is expected to launch with a pop-up selfie camera and an under display fingerprint sensor. Recently leaked renders are available for the particular model. This particular phone is supposed to be the successor of Xiaomi’s already super successful Poco F1. Earlier the same phone was expected to launch as the Redmi X but now it would be the Redmi K20. Redmi K20 Pro is also expected to launch simultaneously with similar specs.
As per the teaser shared by Xiaomi on micro-blogging website Weibo, K20 can be seen with a reflective panel on the back and a triple camera setup. The back is reportedly called Flame Red. In the picture, it’s really difficult to say if its a plastic or a glass back panel. But sources also claim it would be the POCO F2 for the Indian markets.
My Smart Price also reported about a leaked render (below) of Redmi K20 from the teaser above. The renders clearly show the rear camera module and the Redmi branding on the back.
Redmi K20 Specifications
The Redmi K20 display would be a 6.39 inch AMOLED screen and shall be powered by a 4,000 mAh battery. The display would not have a notch or a hole punch display is expected. Protection on the display would be from Corning Gorilla Glass 6 and would also feature an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The device will also feature a pop-up camera module for the front snapper. The front snapper is alleged to be a 20 MP sensor with 48 MP snapper as the primary sensor on the rear triple camera module. Another secondary snapper of 16 MP would be there on the back as the telephoto lens and an additional 8 MP sensor on the rear would be an ultrawide lens. The rumored aperture for the same would be f/2.4. The main camera will be capable of recording 960fps slow-motion video and 4K at 60 frames.
Redmi K20 is reported to have the Snapdragon 855 chipset with 8GB of RAM and 256 GB of non-expandable storage capacity. The phone is set to launch officially on May 28.
