The Note 8 from Redmi would be the successor to the earlier launched Note 7. Specifications wise the smartphone shall have a decent upgrade. An official from the company has confirmed that the phone shall boast improved cameras, battery life and a higher screen-to-body ratio than its predecessor.

The Redmi Note 8 would be powered by Mediatek Helio G90 chipset and shall also feature a 64-megapixel quad-camera module on the rear side. Its again rumored that the camera sensor onboard is the Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1, which would be the main snapper the Redmi Note 8. The predecessor had a 4,000 mAh battery which would see major improvements in the next installment. Sources also predict the phone to feature either a small teardrop notch as seen on the OnePlus 7 or may have a pop-up selfie camera as seen on the Realme X device launched earlier this year.

The predecessor had a regular and a pro version and it’s speculated that the Note 8 would also share the same product line. Apparently as per a few leaks surfaced online, it’s been alleged that the phone will have a glossy shine finish to its rear along with curved sides. The phone shall retain the 3.5 mm audio jack and will feature a microphone hole, speaker, and the USB Type-C port for charging and data syncing. More to the specs list is not disclosed as yet and we can have more to that in coming days before the launch.

The company would also enter the television market with its Redmi branded TV. It’s rumored that the television would sport a 70-inch full HD+ display along with support for 4K content rendering and Dobly sound. The display shall also have HDR support and shall be running on the PatchWall operating system.
