Unlimited calling plan is back in Reliance

If you are stuck in Reliance since long time, then you must surely be knowing about this plan in Reliance (CDMA), wherein you are eligible for making unlimited calls to any Reliance number across India. Way back in early 2000’s, this plan was launched under the supervision of Dhirubhai Ambani, with a  fixed monthly rental of some 770 Rupees for prepaid and postpaid subscribers.

And this is why, Dhirubhai Ambani is said to have a great effort behind the Indian Telecom revolution. Well, after a long time, Reliance reported a big loss and closed down this offer for new customer in 2003. After waiting for long, again Reliance customers got an opportunity to avail this offer in early 2007 just for Rs. 440, again with its discontinuation in mid 2008. 🙁

Ultimately, Reliance is back with the unlimited calling plan with a tariff of Rs. 799 per month. As of now, we do not have any official news, but reportedly its launched all over the country. And this time it seems that they are planning to stick up with this unlimited calling facility as they have reintroduced it with approximately double the cost 🙁
Though I am badly in need of some such plans, but truly speaking, I do not feel this is a good plan to hang on, as TATA have recently launched unlimited calling plan to any network, any where in India that to just for Rs. 2500.
