Xiaomi has finally launched the much-awaited Redmi 7A in India today. The official launch was earlier announced by the Xiaomi India MD Manu Jain in a tweet. The Redmi 7A from Xiaomi is placed in the market for all people who are looking at a powerful phone in a budget range. This criteria and different options for people had given Xiaomi an upper hand in sales in India.

Xiaomi Redmi 7A Specifications

The Redmi 7A is 9.6 mm thick and has a combined weight of 165g. The phone is claimed to have some sort of splash resistance on it. The display on this budget phone from Xiaomi is an IPS LCD 5.45 inch panel having 720 x 1440 pixels. The Redmi 7A features Android 9 Pie with MIUI 9 proprietary skin on top.

Inside the phone is where you will find the Snapdragon 439 chipset on an Octa-Core CPU alongside the Adreno 505 GPU. The phone packs in two variants of 2GB/16GB and 2GB/32GB. Memory is further expandable up to 256GB via micro SD cards.

This budget-friendly smartphone rocks a single 13 MP shooter on the rear side having f/2.2 aperture and a single 5MP selfie shooter on the front side.

Connectivity options include 3.5 mm audio jack, WLAN, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, Radio and micro USB 2.0. The phone lacks a physical fingerprint sensor but still hold an accelerometer, proximity and compass sensors. The phone is powered by a non-removable 4,000 mAh battery which supports fast charging of 10W through the supplied charger inside the box.

The entry-level smartphone has been brilliantly placed in the market. The 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory variant will cost you Rs. 5,999. Whereas the 2GB RAM and 32 GB internal memory variant will cost you Rs. 6,199. Color options available are Matte Black, Matte Blue, and Matte Gold. If you buy the phone in the month of July you can get a flat discount of Rs. 200 which brings down the price to Rs. 5,799 and Rs. 5,999 respectively. The device will go on sale from 11th July exclusively on Mi.com, Flipkart and Mi Home stores.
