Just a few days after the launch of the Incredible S, HTC has launched its another popular high-end Android device Desire S in India. The Desire S, along with the Incredible S and Wildfire S, were showcased a few months back at the Mobile World Congress 2011.
During the launch Ajay Sharma, Country Head, HTC India, said
HTC developed the HTC Sense experience to bring cutting-edge innovation to our customers in simple and natural ways that just make sense – this is what the HTC Desire S represents best.
Specs of HTC Desire S:
- Android OS 2.3 (Gingerbread)
- 1GHz Snapdragon MSM8255 processor
- 5MP camera with autofocus and LED flash
- Secondary VGA camera in the front
- 3.7-inch WVGA display
- HTC Sense UI
- RAM 768MB and ROM 1.1GB
- Expandable memory of up to 32GB
- 1450 mAh battery

The Desire S comes with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS and will soon be retailing in India for Rs.25,490.
The image is that of the older HTC Desire, not the HTC Desire S.
Also the retail price will probably drop to around Rs.22,000/- to Rs.23,500/- with a month of release.
Great phone though. Only draw back is the comparatively less internal storage memory (only 1.1GB)
Thanks for dropping in your feedback about the phone, Alex.
