Lava Launches Iris 458q, the cheapest quad-core smartphone at Rs. 8,999

Following the trend of launching budget quad-core phones like Xolo, Indian manufacturer Lava has entered the quad-core smartphones category by launching the ‘Iris 458q’. Priced at just Rs 8999/-, the Iris 458q is the cheapest quad-core smartphone available.

With a 1.2 Ghz quad-core processor and 512MB RAM, the company is also offering the latest operating system – Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. On the front, you’ll find a 4.5-inch (480×854 pixels) display and a VGA camera for 3G video calling. On the back, an 8 MP rear auto-focus camera. Below all these you’ll find a 2,000-mAh battery, in-built sensors which include Proximity, Light & G Sensor and 4GB internal memory that is expandable up to 32GB using microSD cards. Lava has also included preloaded apps such as WeChat, Push Mail, Ebook reader etc. on the phone along with HD movies and HD games.
