Meizu 16Xs with Snapdragon 675 SoC and Notch Less Display Launched

Meizu’s latest offering the 16Xs was launched in China which comes with notch less display, triple rear cameras, and Snapdragon 675 SoC. The display also features an under display fingerprint sensor and a 4,000 mAh battery. Meizu has also announced alongside the new EP2C Type C headset. Earlier Meizu 16s was launched which had flagship specs including Snapdragon 855 SoC, 6.2-inch display and 48 MP sensor along with 3600 mAh battery.

Meizu 16Xs measures 152 x 74.4 x 8.3 mm in dimensions with an overall weight of 165 g. The front sports a 6.2 inch super AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2232 pixels which produces 403 PPI as pixel density. The phone operates on Android 9.0 with Meizu’s proprietary skin the Flyme OS on top.

Underneath lies the Snapdragon SDM 675 chipset on an Octa-Core CPU coupled with Adreno 612 GPU. Memory expansion is restricted and with 6GB of RAM, you get either 64 GB or 128 GB of internal storage.

The camera on the Meizu 16Xs features a triple setup on the rear with 48 MP primary sensor having f/1.7 aperture, secondary 8 MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture and the third 5 MP depth sensor having f/1.9 aperture along with LED flash. On the front, there is a single 16 MP shooter having an f/2.2 aperture which supports HDR and 1080p videos at 30 FPS.

Connectivity features include WLAN, 3.5 mm audio jack, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS with GLONASS, USB type C. Fingerprint sensor is under the display along with an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass sensors on board. The phone gets its power from a 4000 mAh battery which apparently supports 24W mcharge fast charging.

Meizus 16Xs shall be offered in Midnight black, blue, coral orange and silk white colors to choose from which shall go on sale in China from June 10. The phone is priced at CNY 1698 which is approximately Rs. 17500 for the 6GB/64GB variant and CNY 1998 which is round about Rs. 21000 for the 6GB/128 GB model. The new EP2C Type C headset launched alongside has been priced at CNY 129 which costs Rs. 1300.
