OPPO K3 India Launch Confirmed on July 19

The OPPO K3 was earlier launched on 23 May 2019 in China, the same phone will now debut in India on the coming July 19. The OPPO K3 is very much similar in designs with that of the Reno series from the same brand. The only difference would be of the display size and camera modules. The OPPO K3 would be the successor to their last launched OPPO K1.

OPPO K3 Specifications

The OPPO K3 measures 9.4 mm in thickness and 191g in weight. The phone supports dual standby and VOLTE. The front panel sports 6.5 inch AMOLED display having 1080 X 2340 pixel resolution. The display also produces 394 PPI as pixel density and gets protection from minor scratches and bumps via the Gorilla Glass 5 fitting on top.

The K3 from OPPO runs on Color OS 6 on top of Android 9 Pie. As far as the internals are concerned the OPPO K3 features Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset on an octa-core CPU along with the Adreno 616 GPU. The memory is not expandable due to the absence of a MicroSD card slot and company offers default storage of 64/128 or 256 GB coupled with 6 or 8 GB of RAM.

Optics wise the smartphone carries a dual rear camera setup having 19-megapixel primary snapper and a 2 MP depth sensor. The rear camera module is also accompanied by a LED flash, HDR and panorama. On the other hand, on the front, the K3 has a 16-megapixel motorized pop-up selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.

Connectivity features include WLAN, Bluetooth 5.0. GPS with GLONASS and USB type C 1.0. Users will also get an under display fingerprint sensor along with an accelerometer, gyro, proximity and compass sensors baked in. The phone gets its power from a non-removable 3,765 mAh battery which supports fast charging of 20W with the supplied charger. The OPPO K3 is said to launch with Jade Black, Nebula Purple and Morning White Colors to choose from.

The OPPO K3 was launched in 6GB + 64GB, 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB configurations in China with prices starting at 1,599 Yuan (~Rs 16,100) and going up to 2,299 Yuan (~Rs 23,150).  The phone is expected to get a tough competition from Redmi K20 and the Realme X in India.
