Oppo Reno Series to Debut in India on May 28

Oppo has started sending out invites for the launch event of the Oppo Reno series in India on May 28. This invite clearly confirms the launch of reno series by Oppo in India. Oppo earlier had unveiled the Oppo Reno, Oppo Reno 10X Zoom Edition, and Oppo Reno 5G in China last month. The invite though does not specify if they would launch all the three variants in India or only two.

All the three phones from Oppo comes with a unique wedge shape selfie camera. Basically, it is diagonally raised camera module which also consists of the earpiece, front soft light, and rear LED flash. 5G networks in India are still in works hence company may only launch the Oppo Reno and the Oppo Reno 10X Zoom Edition. The availability and pricing for smartphones are not yet declared.

Oppo Reno Specs

Oppo Reno comes with 6.4 inch AMOLED display which sports 1080 x 2340 pixel screen resolution and produces 402 PPI as pixel density. Protection on the screen has been taken care of by sixth generation corning gorilla glass. Under the hood, the Oppo Reno is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC, paired with 6GB and 8GB RAM options and 128 GB and 256 GB internal storage.

The Oppo Reno has a dual rear camera setup with a 48 MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor and a 5-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. On the front, you have a wedge shape selfie camera module that holds a 16 MP sensor along with an f/2.0 aperture. The selfie camera supports five portrait modes and uses AI to enhance self-portraits.

For connectivity, the phone uses 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. The phone is powered by 3,765 mAh battery that supports VOOC 3.0 fast charging support.

Oppo Reno 10X Zoom Edition Specs

The Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition features a 6.6 inch AMOLED display. Powering the phone inside is an octa-core Snapdragon 855 chipset.  Along with the processor the phone is paired with 6GB and 8GB RAM options and 128 GB and 256 GB internal storage.

The Reno 10x Zoom Edition has a triple rear camera setup that includes a 48 MP Sony IMX586 sensor along with an f/1.7 aperture, a 13 MP secondary sensor with a periscope telephoto lens on top and an 8 MP tertiary sensor with a super wide-angle lens.

For connectivity, the phone uses 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, dual GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. The phone is powered by 4,065 mAh battery that supports VOOC 3.0 fast charging support.

CNY 2,999 (approx Rs. 30,900) – 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant,

CNY 3,299 (roughly Rs. 34,000) – 6GB RAM + 256GB storage model

CNY 3,599 (roughly Rs. 37,100) – 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model

The phone is available in Extreme Night Black, Fog Sea Green, Mist Powder, and Nebula Purple.

Oppo Reno 10X Zoom Edition

CNY 3,999 (approx Rs. 41,200) – 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant,

CNY 4,499 (roughly Rs. 46,400) – 6GB RAM + 256GB storage model

CNY 4,799 (roughly Rs. 49,500) – 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model

The Oppo Reno is available in Extreme Night Black and Fog Sea Green. The 5G variant is yet to be priced in China, however it will retail at EUR 899 (roughly Rs. 69,300) in Europe.
