Realme X to Debut in Beijing on May 15

Realme soon when launched become eye candy for youth because of its great quality at an affordable price. With every new launch, they are settings their standards high. Recently, two Realme devices with model numbers RMX1851 and RMX1901 were spotted by China’s smartphone certification body TENAA. While RMX1851 is the Realme 3 Pro that was earlier this week, RMX1901 is hinted as the Realme X for that matter.

Realme recently posted the launch on Weibo and a lighter version of the same can also be expected with the name Realme X Lite.

Design & Specification

The specification of Realme X listed by TENAA, features 6.5-inch FHD+ display having a screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The display will be a complete notch less one. In terms of the design, this smartphone features a curved shiny back with dual AI cameras and branding along the central axis. Powering this device would be a 3680 mAh battery. It will likely run Android 9.0 (Pie) with ColorOS 6.0 on top.

As per the picture, we cannot see any visible fingerprint sensor hence assumptions can be made for an in display fingerprint sensor. The Realme X will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 octa-core SoC coupled with Adreno 618 GPU, along with the Super VOOC Charge 3.0, and a dual-camera setup featuring a 48-megapixel primary sensor. It is also expected to get up to 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB storage, and a pop-up front camera as seen on the Oppo F11 Pro. The pop-up camera placement is unknown as of now. The Realme X lite would have a similar spec sheet as of the Realme 3 Pro launched earlier this week in India.

The announcement also hinted the phone to be available for reservations at plenty of online retailers in China, such as JD.com, Suning, and TMall. For the same announcement, they have pictured a city full of billboards of Realme X.

In a random video uploaded to company, Official youtube handle shows the Realme X in action though its just an assumption. The video is less than a minute and consists a repetitive upbeat melody that can easily stick in your head and leave you humming “it’s me, it’s me, it’s Realme” for the rest of the day.

It is the official theme song and the clip has young people having fun, taking selfies, dancing, and other stuff to hype you about the new device.
