Samsung is all set to launch its most expensive M Series phone the Galaxy M40 in India on June 11, 2019. The phone will feature a triple rear camera setup, Snapdragon 6XX series chipset, and the most famous hole punch display as seen on the earlier launched Galaxy S10 series.

Initially, smartphones were too popular with notches in the mid-2018 and from there the size of the notch went on being relatively small. Since the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S10 series with hole punch display, we are able to see more of them slowly pacing into this lucrative market segment.

The new edition into the M Series line up is now being teased on Amazon India page for the official launch on June 11. The teaser doesn’t reveal much about the specs. But we can see a triple rear camera set up along with the punch hole display which is Samsung’s Infinity O display.

Rumored Samsung Galaxy M40 Specifications

The phone is rumored to feature a 6.3 inches 1080 X 2340 pixel resolution display. The screen would produce 409 PPI as pixel density for that crispy and clear output. With Samsung One UI on top, the display will come with Android 9 Pie.

Inside the phone, you will get an octa-core Snapdragon SoC instead of an Exynos chipset which will be from the 6XX series, as per rumors it’s going to be the 675 chipsets. Memory inside is 128 GB internal along with 6GB of RAM.

As per camera the triple rear sensors are not specific as of now. There will a rear LED flash along with a fingerprint sensor in the center. The front facing camera sensor is also not specific at the time of writing this post.

Connectivity features shall include WLAN, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB type C, and FM radio. The phone shall be powered by a 5000 mAh battery that is also supposed to sport 15W fast charging. Pricing of the phone is to be around Rs 25,000 in India which seems a bit overpriced for the specs being offered. Xiaomi is offering phones with such chipset under Rs 15,000 which would be a possible opponent for the M series in India.
