Recently a post by Cashkaro, which shows exclusive CAD renders and 360-degree video of the next iteration probably to be known as the Xperia 2 from Sony. Sony is known to organize IFA trade show which is an event to announce their new smartphones. With multiple rumors surfaced online, Sony is expected to release their new installment as a successor to Xperia 1.
Xperia 1 was announced earlier this year but hasn’t been launched yet. This flagship would be called the Xperia 2 and is rumored to debut in September this year.
Xperia 1 was announced alongside the Xperia 10 and the Xperia 10 Plus. It was a high-end flagship device featuring a triple rear camera setup,
6.5-inch OLED display with tall 21:9 aspect ratio and Snapdragon 855 Soc. Xperia 2 will be an incremental upgrade to its predecessor. Xperia 2 is pretty identical when the look is concerned only difference is off the display which would be slightly small than the Xperia 1.
Sony Xperia 2: Things we know
The next flagship from Sony is rumored to feature 6.2-inch Cinema Wide display and would have thickness measuring around 8.1 mm. But from a few online sources, the phone might be a little lower than what it has been leaked. This leak has been surfaced via @OnLeaks which is the most reliable source when it comes to such pieces of information.
As per @onleaks the sports 6 GB of RAM and would be sporting the flagship latest Snapdragon 855 SoC. The phone is also supposed to rock a 3000 mAh battery that would also feature wireless charging. This would be a probable indication of the design factor of the phone to feature a glass back.
Let’s See the difference between Xperia 1 and the Xperia 2
Xperia 1 was announced during the MWC 2019 and its available for pre-bookings with no signs of shipment till date. Both the devices are pretty similar with only a few noticeable difference as mentioned below.
Xperia 1 has got a 6.5-inch display whereas the Xperia 2 would be having a slightly small display with 6.1 inches. The thickness on the Xperia 1 is close to 8.2 mm whereas it’s 8.3 mm on the upcoming flagship. Camera placement on the rear of Xperia 1 is in the middle whereas as per the leaks it would be on the top left-hand side of the Xperia 2.
Though all the above specs leaked in reference to Xperia 2 are just rumors and nothing can be confirmed before the final announcement of launch happens.
