Redmi 7A All Geared Up for the Launch on July 4

Redmi 7A is all set to launch officially in India on July 4. Flipkart has also updated an official page where you can set an alert for the same. The phone shall be announced in a soft launch in India. Redmi 7A would be the successor to the earlier launched Redmi 5A and Redmi 6A.

The Xiaomi India MD Manu Kumar Jain made this announcement through his official Twitter handle. In the tweet touted the combined sales of Redmi A series (Redmi 4A, 5A, and 6A) is greater than the population of Australia. The tweet also informed the users to gear up for the Redmi 7A launch in India.

“Mi fans, here’s something exciting. We are set to launch the #Redmi7A on 4th July,” Xiaomi India Managing Director Manu Kumar Jain said in a tweet.

“#Redmi4A, #Redmi5A, & #Redmi6A all featured a quad-core processor. With the #Redmi7A we will take it a step further,” Manu Kumar Jain said.

Redmi 7A Specifications

The Redmi 7A is 9.6 mm thick and has a combined weight of 165g. The phone is claimed to have some sort of splash resistance on it. The display on this budget phone from Xiaomi is an IPS LCD 5.45 inch panel having 720 x 1440 pixels. The Redmi 7A features Android 9 Pie with MIUI 9 proprietary skin on top.

Inside the phone is where you will find the Snapdragon 439 chipset on an Octa-Core CPU alongside the Adreno 505 GPU. The phone packs in two variants of 2GB/16GB and 3GB/32GB. Memory is further expandable up to 256GB via micro SD cards.

This budget-friendly smartphone rocks a single 13 MP shooter on the rear side having f/2.2 aperture and a single 5MP selfie shooter on the front side.

Connectivity options include 3.5 mm audio jack, WLAN, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, Radio and micro USB 2.0. The phone lacks a physical fingerprint sensor but still hold an accelerometer, proximity and compass sensors. The phone is powered by a non-removable 4000 mAh battery which supports fast charging of 10W through the supplied charger inside the box.

Redmi 7A Price in India

The Redmi 7A is priced at CNY 549 (approx Rs. 5,500) in China for the 16GB storage variant, while its 32GB storage option carries a price tag of CNY 599 (approx Rs. 6,000). The phone comes in Matte Black and Blue colour options.
