As earlier informed, The Redmi K20 series is scheduled to launch in India on July 17. The K20 series will be made available to the general public starting July 17. Flipkart has officially started teasing it on their website as well.
Redmi K20 Pre-Launch (Alpha Sale)
The first flagship series under the Redmi umbrella, the Redmi K20 series’ pre-launch sale allows buyers to reserve a unit before launch
But you can get the phone a bit early if you participate in the Pre-Launch Alpha Sale that will go live at 12 PM on July 12. The brand shall offer Mi Fans and buyers with an opportunity to pre-book the smartphone prior to its much-anticipated launch. The Alpha Sale will allow Mi Fans to reserve a Redmi K20 series smartphone for themselves and get the device before it reaches the wider market.
The Alpha Sale participants will be able to reserve a unit for themselves starting 12 noon on the 12th of July for a token amount of INR 855 across Mi.com and Flipkart, after which a final check-out for the purchase will be announced on the 17th of July launch. If you do not redeem the sale amount on time it will automatically get refunded to the respective Mi account and for Flipkart user’s shall get a gift card or a coupon that could be redeemed for any other purchase.
Redmi K20 Specifications
The Phone packs in an aluminum frame along with corning gorilla glass 5 protection on the front and back panel. The display on the phone is a 6.39 inch AMOLED panel having 1080 x 2340 pixel resolution. The display also houses the fingerprint sensor.
The phone will run MIUI 10 on top of Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. Digging inside a bit you will find the Snapdragon 730 chipset on an octa-core processor along with Adreno 618 GPU. The K20 lacks a dedicated memory expansion slot and defaults the memory with 6 or 8 GB RAM coupled with 64/128 and 256 GB internal storage.
The smartphone rocks in a triple rear camera setup of 48-megapixel wide sensor, 8-megapixel telephoto lens and a 13-megapixel ultra wide sensor having f/1.8, f/2.4 and f/2.4 apertures respectively. On the front, you will have a motorized pop-up selfie camera of 20 megapixels with f/2.2 aperture.
The phone is powered by 4000 mAh battery which supports 18W fast charging out of the box.
