Redmi K20 Series From Xiaomi to Launch on July 17

The sub-brand Redmi from Xiaomi is all set to launch the much awaited Redmi K20 series in India on July 17. Initially, the official renders of the phone were leaked which cleared out very much about the lineup and its specifications. The Global Vice President, Manu Kumar Jain had been tweeting a lot about the series on his official twitter handle. The company is officially going to launch the Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro in the country.

The company is touting the device as a “Flagship Killer 2.0”, taking a jab on the OnePlus Phones, which is feature packed at affordable rates.

Redmi K20 Specifications

The Phone packs in an aluminum frame along with corning gorilla glass 5 protection on the front and back panel. The display on the phone is a 6.39 inch AMOLED panel having 1080 x 2340 pixel resolution. The display also houses the fingerprint sensor.

The phone will run MIUI 10 on top of Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. Digging inside a bit you will find the Snapdragon 730 chipset on an octa-core processor along with Adreno 618 GPU. The K20 lacks a dedicated memory expansion slot and defaults the memory with 6 or 8 GB RAM coupled with 64/128 and 256 GB internal storage.

The smartphone rocks in a triple rear camera setup of 48-megapixel wide sensor, 8-megapixel telephoto lens and a 13-megapixel ultra wide sensor having f/1.8, f/2.4 and f/2.4 apertures respectively. On the front, you will have a motorized pop-up selfie camera of 20 megapixels with f/2.2 aperture.

The phone is powered by 4000 mAh battery which supports 18W fast charging out of the box.

Redmi K20 Pro Specifications

The display on the phone is a 6.39 inch Super AMOLED panel having 1080 x 2340 pixel resolution. The display also houses the fingerprint sensor. The phone is 8.8 mm thick and weighs 191g in total.

The phone will run MIUI 10 on top of Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. Inside you will find the Snapdragon 855 chipset on an octa-core processor along with Adreno 640 GPU. The K20 Pro also lacks a dedicated memory expansion slot and defaults the memory with 6 or 8 GB RAM coupled with 64/128 and 256 GB internal storage.

Redmi K20 Series Price in India

There is no official word out as of now and predicting the exact pricing would be again a bit tricky since its Xiaomi. But we expect the Redmi K20 somewhere between Rs.17,000 to Rs.20,000 price bracket. Whereas the Redmi K20 Pro shall be retailing between Rs.21,000 to Rs.26,000. This is just an estimate keeping in mind the price of Xiaomi’s POCO F1 launched with flagship specs for Rs.21,000.
