OPPO A9 had been earlier launched in China and the same model has been launched in India as well. In terms of specifications and other features, the phone is very much identical to the one launched earlier in China. The key features of the phone include a waterdrop notch, octa-core CPU, dual rear cameras, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, and 4020 mAh battery. The phone is placed in the budget segment and shall have a close competition with the Xiaomi Mi A3, Realme X.

The device has been priced at Rs.15490 and shall be made available pan India. All the offline and online stores shall start selling the phone from July 20.

The phone is made up of plastic and is 162 X 76.1 X 8.3 mm in dimensions. The phone also measures a combined weight of 190 g. The OPPO A9 comes with a waterdrop notch on the front which houses the selfie camera and on the rear side is the dual camera module, LED flash and the fingerprint sensor.

The OPPO A9 is powered by Android 9.0 Pie with Color OS 6 on top. Inside the phone is the Mediatek MT6771V Helio P70 chipset on an OctaCore CPU along with Mali G72 MP3. It comes with a dedicated micro SD card slot which can expand the memory up to 256 GB. The unit also by default offers 4 or 6 GB of RAM along with 128 GB of native storage.
