Realme X Launching on July 15, Confirmed by CEO Madhav Seth

CEO of Realme, Madhav Seth has been teasing a lot about the Realme X lately on this official Twitter profile. He has also renamed his profile as Madhav X recently which clearly indicated that the Realme X is coming to India soon. The phone is supposed to take on Redmi’s K20 in India which is also going to launch in India soon.

Realme CEO, also confirmed that the special Onion and Garlic edition of the Realme X will also be offered to the Indian markets alongside the regular models. The company has also confirmed to bring the recently launched Spiderman Edition of Realme X to India.

Realme X Specifications

The Realme X is 8.6 mm thick with a combined weight of 191 g. The body is made up of plastic and the front panel is backed up by Gorilla Glass 5. The front panel also features a 6.53 inch AMOLED display having 1080 x 2340 pixel resolutions. The display produces 394 PPI as pixel density.

Realme X would feature Color OS 6 on top of Android 9.0 Pie. Inside the phone is where you get the Snapdragon 710 chipset (Chinese variant) on an octa-core CPU alongside the Adreno 616 GPU. The Indian variant of the Realme X would feature Snapdragon 730 chipset as seen on the Redmi K20 under the sub Rs. 20000 price segment.

There is no memory expansion slot but the default options for memory is 4/6/8 GB RAM coupled with 64/128GB internal memory.

The rear side of the phone comprises of a dual camera setup of a 48MP wide sensor having f/1.7 aperture and a secondary 5MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The front camera is a pop-up selfie camera of 16 MP wide sensor having f/2.0 aperture. The same front camera setup was earlier seen on the OnePlus 7 Pro and Vivo F11 Pro and the Vivo V15 Pro.

Connectivity options include 3.5 mm audio jack, WLAN, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB type C. The fingerprint sensor is under the display and also comes with accelerometer, gyro, proximity and compass sensors baked in. The Realme X is powered by a 3765 mAh battery which has got fast charging feature of 20 W (VOOC 3.0) through the supplied charger. Also, the company claims it can charge the phone up to 55 percent in 30 mins.
