Blackberry KEYone Limited Edition Black: Sale Begins 8th August

Though Blackberry is losing hands on the Indian Market when smart phones are concerned, they still haven’t left hope and have introduced their new device the KEYone limited edition black smart phone in India. Blackberry made this device exclusive to Amazon for sales in India while in partnership with Optiemus Infracom who will be handling manufacturing and distribution.


Key Highlights

Inside the box you get the Blackberry KEYone itself along with blackberry in ear type earphones, wall charger which does support QUALCOMM quick charge 3.0 and USB type C 3.1 charging and data syncing cable. The retail unit also comes with a bunch of documentation for your reference. The entire build is colored mat black that runs across the whole device leaving the QWERTY keyword to be a glossy shining one.

The back panel houses the camera, flash and blackberry logo that is embossed on the rubberized back which makes it really enhances the grip while on the go.

The KEYone is slight to the higher side when the thickness is in question with 9.4 MM along with a combined weight of 180 grams which might be a cause of concern for newbie’s coming from slimmer Android phones.

The highlight or the USP of this device is the QWERTY keyboard which also houses the fingerprint sensor which doubles as the space bar. Such a design factor really makes it a master piece.


The display on the same is a 4.5 inch IPS LCD screen which sports 433 ppi as pixel density along with a screen resolution of 1080 x 1620 pixels. For protection, the display uses Corning gorilla glass 4 and does support 10 fingers multi-touch.

Operating System

The phone will be shipped with Android 7.1 Nougat with a little modification by blackberry.


Inside, you get the Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625 Chipset on an Octa Core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 2.0 GHz coupled with Adreno 506 GPU


For memory, the blackberry KEYone will be housing 4 GB of RAM along with 64 GB of internal storage. Internal storage is expandable up to 2 TB of micro SD cards.


The camera on the rear is a 12 MP sensor having 1.55-micron pixel size which supports f/2.0 aperture with phase detection auto focus & dual tone LED flash.

On the front, you get a 8 MP sensor having 1.12-micron pixel size which supports f/2.2 aperture.

This device features WLAN, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC, Radio, USB 3.1 Type C 1.0

Sensors namely proximity, accelerometer, gyro and compass are equipped along with front mounted fingerprint sensor embedded inside the hardware four row Blackberry keyboard.


Blackberry KEYone limited Edition black houses 3505 mAh battery which does support Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0, can go up to 50 percent in 36 minutes.

Blackberry KEYone limited edition black will be exclusively sold on Amazon India with a price tag of Rs. 39,990 starting August 8th, 2017.
