Uninor could possibly unlock the doors of ROAMING in India, a process that was kick-started by TATA DOCOMO when they extended 1P/SEC on ROAMING as well (NOv 2009).

Lets hope, keeping in mind the interests of mobile consumers, that the same scheme is made available across the Uninor network in other parts of the country soon!

      You are right, Duane!
Even we suspect that at some point of time, operators will definitely roll some plans that will help mobile users roam freely!

Question Deepak is WHEN ??? Lets hope sooner than later!
Coz by the time the DOT decides to make INDIA into ONE CIRCLE (or at least 4 regions) it could be another 3-4 years!

Well, slowly and steadily, I can see such plans rolling.. For ex, BSNL has also revived their roaming plans wherein you get 300 Mins free roamin i/c for Rs. 725 plan and unlimited free roaming incoming with Rs. 1500 plan!
