Asus Zenfone 6 to Unveil on May 16 with Notch Less Display

Asus has been pretty incredible with their smartphone launches ever since they enter this segment. With Asus’s recent tweet on their official twitter handle which hints the launch of their next flagship Zenfone 6. The tweet clearly shows a phone with a notchless and bezel-less front display panel.

The phone shall be the successor to the earlier launched Zenfone 5Z which was an overnight success. Though it was an amazing valued phone consumer still complained about the camera, operating system and regular updates which the company shall seriously have to look into. The Zenfone 5Z had to offer a front and back glass design, dual-rear cameras with AI screen detection, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core SoC. The handset packs a 6.2-inch full HD+, a 3,300mAh battery with fast charging support and was priced close to Rs. 30,000 in India.

Design & Features

Asus would be launching its latest Zenfone 6 Series on May 16 at a special event in Valencia, Spain. It is also rumored that the company may also reveal the Asus Zenfone 6Z along. As per teaser is concerned we can assume the phone to have a notch less and bezel-less display. In display fingerprint scanner and a triple rear camera setup would also be an added feature. The phone could also sport pop up selfie camera or a sliding camera as seen on the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3. But these are all assumptions and the teaser clearly does not state anything apart from the display section to be precise.

With a recent leak, the Zenfone 6 has been certified by the FCC with a dual rear camera setup, of which the main snapper has been rumored to come with 48 MP resolution. The Zenfone 6 will support 18W fast charging, and it will have a dual-SIM version.

Earlier as per some leaks on Geekbench, the phone is stated to rock the latest Snapdragon 855 Octa-core SoC. The operating system is listed as Android 9 Pie. And the RAM capabilities are mentioned as 6 GB which can be a little higher up to 8 GB as per company norms. Apart from these, the Geek bench score does not reveal anything further.
