The company earlier showcased the phone with under the display fingerprint sensor on the Vivo X20 at the recently held CES 2018 in Las Vegas. The sensor sits in between the main board and the OLED panel where the finger is illuminated first and the beam of light is processed. Since the sensor looks through the dots of OLED panel, LCD displays won’t be able to consume this technology. This technology is called Clear ID and has a very negligible amount of failure which is quite expectable from a first generation product.

The smartphone will feature a metal unibody with rounded metal back having a full edge to edge 6.43 inch 2.5D curved edge glass screen having 18:9 aspect ratios. The Super AMOLED display will sport 1080 x 2160 pixel resolution which produces 376 ppi as pixel density. Out of the box, you will get Android 7.1.1 with Fun Touch 3.2 proprietary skin on the top. Under the hood, the smartphone will have Qualcomm MSM8956 Plus Snapdragon 660 chipset on an Octa-Core CPU clocked at 2.2 GHz and 1.8 GHz. The phone shall have 4 GB of RAM along with 64 GB of internal memory which is further expandable up to 256 GB via micro SD card.

The camera department features dual setup on the back having 24 MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and 5 MP secondary snapper. On the front single 12 MP shooter is placed having f/2.0 aperture which is capable of recording 1080P video. The rear camera also features OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), DLSR like bokeh effect and LED flash. It’s very certain that the rear camera and company logo placements are very similar to the one on the One Plus 5T.

Connectivity features on the phone include WLAN, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, RADIO, micro USB 2.0. The fingerprint sensor is under the display accompanied by other sensors like the accelerometer, proximity, and compass. The entire smartphone is backup by a 3900 mAh battery which does support 5V/4.5A fast charging. As per the official report, the phone is expected to launch for YUAN 3998 which is roughly Rs.39850.
