In order to do so, you have to disable the Ad recommendations settings from numerous Xiaomi branded apps. Let us see how to do that.
Disable MSA App
- Open “Settings” Panel.
- Go to “Additional Settings” under “System and Device“.
- Click on “Authorization & revocation“.
- Now Toggle Off “msa“.
- This may not work in the first attempt, try at least 4 to 5 times. We got it done in our fifth attempt.
Disable Personalized ad recommendations
- Open “Settings” Panel.
- Go to “Additional Settings” under “System and Device“.
- Click on “Privacy“.
- Under Privacy, click on “Ad services“.
- And Toggle off “Personalized ad recommendations“.
Disable Ads in Mi Security App
- Open the Mi Security App.
- Tap on the gear icon at the top left right-hand side.
- Under “Recommendations” toggle off “Receive recommendations“.
Disable Ads in Mi Cleaner App
- Open the Mi Security App.
- Click on Cleaner.
- Tap on the brush icon on the top.
- Click on the gear icon on the top.
- Scroll down and toggle off “Receive recommendations” under Recommendations.
Disable Ads in Mi Video App
- Open the Mi Video App.
- Hit on the user icon on the bottom of the page.
- Click on “Settings“.
- Toggle off “Online Recommendations” and “Push notifications“.
Disable Ads in Mi Music App
- Open the Mi Music App.
- Tap on the hamburger menu button in the top-left corner.
- Click on “Settings“.
- Go to “Advanced Settings“.
- Toggle off “Receive recommendations“.
Disable Ads in Mi Browser App
- Open the Mi Browser App
- Tap on the hamburger menu button on the bottom of the page.
- Click on “Settings“.
- Deny setting Mi Browser as your default browser when prompted.
- Head towards “Privacy & Security” under “Others“.
- Toggle off “Personalized services“.
Disable Ads in Downloads
- Open the Mi Downloads.
- Tap on the hamburger menu button in the top-right corner.
- Select “Settings“.
- Toggle off “Show recommended content“.
Disable Ads in Mi File Manager
- Open Mi File Manager.
- Tap on the hamburger menu button in the top-left corner.
- Click on “Settings“.
- Go to “About“.
- Toggle off “Recommendations“.
Disable Ads in MIUI Theme
- Open MIUI Theme Manager.
- Tap on “My Page” at the bottom.
- Go to “Settings“.
- Toggle off “Recommendations“.
