With Vivo Z5 nearing its grand launch in China on July 31st, the company has yet again launched the Vivo Y7s in the country. The new Vivo Y7s is a rebranded version of the earlier launched in Indonesia the Vivo S1. The phone would be China’s first smartphone to have the Helio P65 chipset. The device also features a waterdrop notch, triple rear cameras, and an under-display fingerprint sensor.
Vivo Y7s Specifications
The chassis of the phone is made up of aluminum and is covered with glass for protection from accidental slips and scratches. The handset features a screen to body ratio of 90 percent and comes with a 6.38 inch full HD+ super AMOLED panel. The display also houses the in-display fingerprint sensor.
The Vivo Y7s is equipped with the Helio P65 chipset which is China first ever phone to feature such a chipset. The processor is further coupled with Mali G52 GPU. By default, the phone comes with 6GB of RAM and a native 128 GB internal storage. The memory is further expandable via micro SD card. There is Multi-Turbo acceleration engine onboard for smoother performance.
In the optics department, the phone features a triple rear camera setup of 16-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Out of the box the phone runs on Fun Touch OS 9 on top of Android 9 Pie. The device also features a dedicated button for accessing the Jovi AI Assistant. With micro USB 2.0, the phone charges the non-removable 4,500 mAh battery which also supports 18W fast charging out of the box.
Vivo S1 Specifications
The phones come with triple rear cameras. The rear camera module features 12+8+5 megapixel shooters. The S1 would be available in two storage variants. One with 6GB RAM and 128 GB internal memory and another model with 8GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage. The former will be priced under Rs. 20,000 and the latter shall be priced under Rs. 25,000.
The phone would also feature a MediaTek Helio P70 octa-core CPU. The display reportedly is of 6.53 inches with a screen resolution of 1080 X 2340 pixels.
Vivo Y7s Price and Availability
The Vivo Y7s is priced at of YUAN 1,798 which is roughly Rs 17,999 in China. The company will be holding the first sale of the smartphone on July 20th. The device shall be offered in Sea Breeze and Wave Blue Colors to choose from.
