Vivo doesn’t seem to stop anytime soon, recent rumors suggest that the company has been starting sending out media invites for a scheduled smartphone launch. As per a listing on TENAA, company’s unknown phone with model no. V1921 has surfaced. This model number is expected to be the Vivo Z5.
Vivo earlier this year in May had launched the Z5x which featured 5,000 mAh battery, 6.53-inch bezel-less hole-punch display. The phone had the Snapdragon 710 chipset inside coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory which was further expandable up to 256 GB. The Vivo Z5x sports a triple rear camera setup of 16+8+2 megapixel and a 16-megapixel front-facing shooter.
Now it’s alleged that the Vivo Z5 would be a minor upgraded version of the Vivo Z5x. The new smartphone from Vivo is also expected to ditch the punch-hole display and shall revert to a waterdrop notch eventually. Sources also predict that the phone will have an in-display fingerprint sensor instead of the rear-mounted as found on the Vivo Z5x. The display is also slightly smaller with 6.39 inch full HD + AMOLED panel.
The Vivo Z5 might as well improve a bit on the optics division by implementing a 48-megapixel primary sensor as he part of the triple rear sensor. The secondary and the tertiary sensors shall be the same as found on the Vivo Z5x. The front-facing shooter has also been upgraded as per TENAA which will be a 32-megapixel sensor as compared with the 16 megapixels found on the Vivo Z5x. The listing also confirms an unknown octa-core CPU clocked at 2.3 GHz inside coupled with 6GB or 8GB of RAM. The phone may also ditch memory expansion and may limit the device internal storage with 64GB, 128GB, and 256 GB. The new Z5 from Vivo may be powered by a 4,420 mAh battery which would support 22.5W fast charging out of the box.
Vivo is yet to confirm whether this device would launch in India or not. But as per the specifications, the device would be priced between Rs.15,000 to Rs.18,000. Also, the company is also expected to release further info about the new phone on Weibo and other social networking platforms.
